G. Pechet Reber
Again and again, G. Pechet Reber, enfant terrible of the Swiss jazz scene, amazes by his sudden appearances amongst the international wolrd of jazz. Without having permanent engagements with any groups or bands, his variability and spontaneity are the main characteristics of his work and personnality. He is a musician and poet, who's music changes permanently. So you read in the "jazz podium", some time ago. And furthermore: "I'm not commited to one style ore the other. I try to play my own one, that arrises from the moment. It can sound like free jazz, ore like something else." Only few insiders know what a big talent hides behind these succinct words. Reber is not an easy musician, nor a musician to show off. His music presents itself without any compromises. There is no place for styling with great public appeal.
